10 Years of Cybersecurity Competitions in Estonia Celebrated at TalTech
October 16, 2025On October 1st, TalTech hosted a special event celebrating 10 years of youth cybersecurity competitions in Estonia, highlighting the country’s ongoing commitment to developing digital talent.
The event was organized by CyberHub Estonia, led by TalTech and supported by the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL). The programme featured reflections on a decade of competitions and their impact on Estonia’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
Birgy Lorenz, senior researcher at TalTech and one of the key initiators of the youth cyber competitions, shared insights into how these initiatives have helped shape the next generation of cybersecurity experts.
Grete Soares de Camargo from ITL gave an overview of the Estonian CyberTech Cluster and the CyberHubs international project, introducing ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between academia, industry, and international partners.
