On February 5, 2025, Estonian Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs will host the country’s annual National Cybersecurity Conference, an event bringing together key stakeholders to discuss the latest trends and challenges in cybersecurity. CyberHub Estonia and the CyberHubs Project will be prominently featured through two significant speaking opportunities at the event, showcasing their leading role in advancing cybersecurity in Europe and beyond.
Addressing the Cyber Skills Gap in Europe
Marie Montaldo, Associate Director for Projects at DIGITALEUROPE will deliver a presentation titled “The Cyber Skills Gap in Europe: Insights, Challenges, and Opportunities.” During her talk, Marie will introduce the CyberHubs Project and CyberHub Estonia, shedding light on their contributions to strengthening the cybersecurity ecosystem. A key highlight of her presentation will be insights from the Cybersecurity Skills Needs Analysis Summary Report, a detailed exploration of Europe’s current cybersecurity skills landscape. The report, available here, provides critical recommendations for addressing the persistent skills gap in the sector.

The conference will also feature a panel discussion titled “Europe Regulates Cyber – Will Estonia Sink or Swim?” ITL CEO Doris Põld and Board Member, CybExer Estonia CEO, Lauri Almann will participate in this thought-provoking dialogue among other though leaders in cybersecurity. The panel will explore how evolving European cybersecurity regulations impact Estonia’s digital and economic landscape and what strategies are needed to remain competitive while ensuring robust security standards.
