Estonian and Canadian cybersecurity clusters sign Memorandum of Understanding

On Monday, 29 September, the Estonian CyberTech Cluster, led by ITL CEO Doris Põld, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Canadian cybersecurity cluster In-Sec-M, represented by Co-Directors Nicolas Duguay and Lysanne Picard.

The event, held in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada in Estonia, brought together representatives from both clusters, along with Ambassador Laird Garfield Hindle, Regional Senior Trade Commissioner Nicolas Lepage, and Trade Commissioner Annika Järs.

ITL Board Member Lauri Almann (CybExer) also addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of international collaboration in strengthening cybersecurity. Fellow ITL Board Member Kedi Välba also attended the event.

The MoU marks the beginning of closer cooperation between the Estonian and Canadian cybersecurity ecosystems, creating new opportunities for knowledge exchange, joint initiatives, and business collaboration. Both sides share a common vision of innovation, digital trust, and resilience.
