Estonian CyberTech Cluster Joins North European Cybersecurity Cluster (NECC)

The Estonian CyberTech Cluster, known as CyberHub Estonia, is proud to announce its membership in the North European Cybersecurity Cluster (NECC).

This strategic alliance aims to enhance cooperation and innovation in cybersecurity across Northern Europe.  

The NECC is dedicated to promoting information security and cybersecurity-related collaboration in the Northern European region, facilitating integration into the European Digital Single Market. By creating a trusted competence network among companies, academia, public sector, and end-users, the NECC supports the EU’s contractual Public-Private Partnership (cPPP) and fosters a robust cybersecurity ecosystem.  

Grete Soares de Camargo, Project Manager of the Estonian CyberTech Cluster, emphasized the significance of this partnership: “Joining the NECC aligns perfectly with our mission to connect top Estonian cybersecurity competencies with international partners. This collaboration will open new avenues for knowledge exchange, joint projects, and enhanced cybersecurity solutions across the region.”  

Juha Remes, Chairman of the Board of NECC, welcomed the Estonian CyberTech Cluster: “The inclusion of CyberHub Estonia into our network enriches the NECC community. Estonia’s advanced digital society and cybersecurity expertise will undoubtedly contribute to our collective goal of strengthening cybersecurity resilience in Northern Europe.”  

Doris Põld, CEO of the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL), highlighted the cluster’s objectives: “The Estonian CyberTech Cluster was established to support raise awareness and support the export of cybersecurity solutions. Collaborating with NECC will amplify our efforts, providing our members with greater access to international markets and fostering innovation through cross-border partnerships.”  

The Estonian CyberTech Cluster comprises leading cybersecurity product and service providers in Estonia, focusing on areas such as risk management, cybersecurity training, testing, crisis management, and security surveillance. Through initiatives like awareness-raising campaigns and international collaborations, the cluster aims to strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem both nationally and globally.
