Estonian CyberTech Cluster Met with the Belgian Cybersecurity Ecosystem at the European Space Agency

September 25, 2025

On 22–23 September, representatives of the Estonian CyberTech Cluster and CyberHub Estonia took part in the CyberHub Belgium twinning event, organized by Agoria, the Belgian technology association.

The two-day program began with visits and presentations at the European Space Agency (ESA) in Redu, where participants learned about cybersecurity challenges related to space, local infrastructure, and ongoing initiatives in Belgium. Estonia’s experience was also highlighted, with Grete Soares de Camargo (ITL) presenting on how the Estonian CyberTech Cluster operates, and Birgy Lorenz (TalTech) speaking about Estonia’s best practices in digital and cybersecurity education.

The second day in Brussels focused on cybersecurity talent and skills development, gathering experts, companies, students, and policymakers. In this session, Birgy Lorenz presented Estonia’s approach to integrating cybersecurity into education, starting from an early age, and discussed the country’s broader digital skills strategy.

Both days provided excellent opportunities for knowledge exchange, networking, and showcasing Estonia’s strengths in cybersecurity.

We thank Agoria and the European Space Agency for hosting and organizing this inspiring event.
