Estonian President Karis met the board of ITL
June 21, 2023Estonian President Alar Karis met on June 20th with board of ITL to talk about the progress of the technology sector.
Our board had previously attended the president’s audience in Kadriorg residence. This time, the president made a return visit to an IT company. At the meeting, President Karis pointed out that effective cooperation between the private and public sectors and supporting innovation is important for a country like Estonia. Maintaining the image of Estonia as a digital country must be supported by solutions that are not only made as tailor-made suits for our own country, it is important that they can also be exported around the world.
Ats Albre, the Chairman of the board of ITL, sait that ITL proposed to the president to meet more often in order to jointly review developments in the technology sector, provide input on new success stories and find possible topics where technology could be helpful as a solution.
