A high level digitalization forum is held in Marocco

October 21, 2024

A high-level Estonian minister visit to Morocco is held from October 20th to 22nd.

The Moroccan Public Affairs firm, Consensus Public Relations (CPR) and Estonian ICT Cluster are organizing, in partnership with the Moroccan Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, the Crédit Agricole du Maroc Group and the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, a forum under the theme: Morocco Estonia e-Connect.

This forum will be held on October 21, 2024 at the prestigious Technopolis Campus of Rabat-Salé of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).

A true crossroads of exchanges between two nations, this event aims to highlight the possible synergies between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Estonia in terms of digital governance, through a series of high-level interventions and strategic reflections. At the heart of this meeting is the desire to take advantage of the Estonian experience, widely praised for having been able to place technology at the service of the State and citizens, with the aim of driving a major digital transformation in Morocco.

Indeed, Estonia has established itself as a global reference model thanks to the implementation of innovative e-governance systems, based on a clear vision, a strong political will, and a deeply rooted digital culture. Morocco Estonia e-Connect will thus offer participants the opportunity to explore these fundamental pillars, which are essential to the success of any modern digital strategy.

The interventions planned for this event will address key themes, such as the prerequisites for effective digital governance, the legal and strategic frameworks necessary for the creation of a sustainable digital ecosystem, as well as the integration of technologies into governance schemes.

The forum will be opened by Ms. Ghita Mezzour, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform and His Excellency Mr. Margus Tsahkna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia.

Estonian ICT Cluster experts present include Kedi Välba and Aleksander Reitsakas from Aktors, Ants Sild from BCS Skills Academy, Arne Ansper and Florian Marcus from Cybernetica and Siim Sikkut and Helena Lepp from Digital Nation.
