February 20, 2025

For the first time, an Estonian company won the European future unicorn award!

For the seventh time DigitalEurope presented the Future Unicorn Awards, which aims to highlight European technology superstars with the potential to grow enormously. The companies submitted by Estonians have so far been among the finalists, but this time the Estonian company Pactum AI won the Unicorn of the Future award. The award was presented by European Commissioner for Starups, Science and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva.

Director of DIGITALEUROPE’s Cecilia Bonefeld-Dahl said: “Today, only 14% of the world’s unicorns are from Europe. This is far from enough, especially at a time when Europe seeks to boost its economic and security resilience in an increasingly tense geopolitical context.
Europe’s competitiveness lies in its capacity to champion and empower its innovators, and we have many of them – Our 2025 Future Unicorn Award winners are a testament to that and to Europe’s potential to reclaim its leadership on a global scale and win the tech race.

“Being recognized among Europe’s most innovative scale-ups is a tremendous honor,” said Kaspar Korjus, Co-Founder and CEO of Pactum AI. “This award underscores the impact of our market leading agentic AI and autonomous negotiations in revolutionizing procurement and commercial agreements at a global scale.”

Doris Põld, CEO of ITL, said after the award ceremony that we have to stand up for growth companies like Pactum wanting to do business in Europe. “It is a great pleasure that Pactum AI received the award, which recognizes Europe’s most promising technology companies. Their service stands out, they have a revolutionary platform based on artificial intelligence that helps to negotiate through automation and reach agreements faster in business. In Estonia, we must be proud of our competitive companies that stand out globally.”

Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Liisa-Ly Pakosta congratulated award winner, together with Doris Põld, CEO of ITL.

Business associations from 29 countries across Europe submit a proposal to the competition for companies with the best growth potential. This year, the Estonian Information Technology and Telecommunications Union (ITL) nominated Pactum AI as an award candidate from Estonia. The award ceremony takes place at the annual Masters of Digital event.
