We applaud the recipient of the Ustus Agur scholarship awarded by the Education and Youth Board and ITL: congratulations, Mohammad Eslami.

Eslami, the third-year doctoral student of TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology, received the highest recognition in the ICT sector in the field of doctoral studies and a scholarship of 5,000 euros. The topic of Eslami’s research is “On the use of defensive schemes for hardware security”. The supervisors of the doctoral thesis are Professor Samuel Pagliarini and Senior Researcher Tara Ghasempouri of the Computer Systems Institute of TalTech.

The ITL Ustus Agur scholarship, which has been awarded since 2003, is intended to support the studies of a doctoral student of a public university, whose doctoral thesis topic is more narrowly related to the field of information and communication technology (ICT) or more broadly deals with the use of ICT in another field.

Technical scientist Ustus Agur was a pioneer of the Estonian information society. With the scholarship named after him, ITL and the Education and Youth Board recognize the scientist’s outstanding contribution to the development of the Estonian information society. The scholarship is awarded within the framework of the IT Academy program.
