Three cities in the UK in three days

Smart City companies were on a business visit to the UK this week, visiting London, Birmingham and Manchester.

The trip started in London, where the delegation held fruitful discussions with the London local government authorities. They explored the opportunities for cooperation between London and Estonia on the challenges of digitalization, shared success stories from both regions and got an overview of London’s vision and key initiatives for Smart City solutions. A number of B2B meetings were also held. The day was rounded off with a full house reception hosted by Ambassador Viljar Lubi, which further enhanced the discussions.

The next stop was Birmingham, where the West Midlands was briefed on the opportunities in the Creative Digital & Tech, Future Mobility & Low Carbon sectors.

The trip ended in Manchester, where the Estonian delegation had numerous individual meetings with local businesses and authorities, supported by the local Chamber of Commerce.

Among the companies present were Bikeep, CybExer Technologies, DigiLogistics Centre, GoSwift, Nortal, Ridango, Trinidad Wiseman.

Trademission was organized by EASi ja KredExi ühendasutus and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia in cooperation with Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and ISMEF project, that activities are supported by Interreg Central Baltic Region co-funded by the European Union.
