ITL led the challenge to analyse the metalworking company Hyrles OÜ to examine how IT can generate actual measurable value. The cooperation between ITL, Federation of Estonian Engineering Industry and OÜ Hyrles has led to the creation of a demo environment for industry digitalisation solutions. By uniting products offered by IT companies – accounting software, engineering software, detail planning, personnel records and automated communication with devices – into a single system, an integral environment is created for the real-time management of processes.

During the cooperation project involving different companies, the metalworking company supply chain was analysed thoroughly, including the entire production process and all other processes. It appeared that existing resources were only used to 60% capacity. An increase in efficiency can be achieved by making all required investments and changes in the company’s processes according to recommendations generated during the pilot project
